NEW Gyms, New Content, ALL on Facebook!
Hey all!
In preparation for all new gym features this year I am relaunching my little project using a NEW facebook page as the main platform for ALL content.
All old posts from my adventures in Europe (2010) and Gyms 1-18 have been uploaded plus previously unpublished photos, articles and even some snapshot video blogs!
I’d love for you all to check it out and get involved!

vanillasskyy asked: Hey there - cool blog you got going! Hope you don't mind if I use some of your content later down the road, great stuff. New follower, can you please follow me back?
Europe: Acknowledgements
Many different people from different countries and different parts of my life contributed to making the European stage of my journey such a success. Without all the people who helped me along the way I would never have been able to achieve so much. I am very grateful to you all. This is the shortest list I could come up with…

I'll be back
A good friend of mine pointed out that I should probably post something letting all you fine people know that I will be on hiatus from the blog over the silly season.
I arrived back home in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago in fine spirits but not so fine health, managed to pick up a cold/flu in during my last days in London. I figure it’s a fair trade for all the the fat I left behind.
I...
Day 14 - Gym No#6: Educogym
Gym No#6: Educogym
Location: London, ENGLAND.
It’s 4.30am on Sunday and I’m charging my laptop at my hostel in London. Sharing the couch with my rucksack, packed for home. Somehow I am heading home with less possessions than I started with.
The last day of the 12 day program at Educogym on Harley Street was on Friday. I was weighed, measured and my ‘After’ shot was...

Day 9 - Gym No#6: Educogym
Gym No#6: Educogym
Location: London, ENGLAND.
So it’s snowing here in London for the first time since my arrival. It’s Day 9 of the program and I had to make sure because all the days are starting to bleed together.
In a pretty comfortable routine that revolves around 3 different 20 mins workouts, the same 3 tube stations and 3 different types of supplements. Really loving my...

Day 3 - Gym No#6: Educogym
Gym No#6: Educogym
Location: London, ENGLAND.
You don’t want to know the things I would do for some fresh fruit and muesli right about now!
At the end of my third day in the program and I think it’s the emotional connection with food that I’m missing most. Because despite being on a tight as low Gi meal plan mainly consisting of eggs and nuts (there are more options but...
Day 1 - Gym No#6: Educogym
Gym No#6: Educogym
Location: London, ENGLAND.
Yesterday was the first day of the 12 day program at Gym No#6: Educogym. I had another consultation where all my body measurements were taken plus a ‘Before’ photo.
Basically over the 12 days I will undertake supervised resistance training for 20mins every day. I have 3 different types of supplements (creatine, amino acids, amino-or)...
fitnessallaround asked: Thanks for the follow! You have such a great opportunity here! You are very lucky! I will defiantly be following your journey!
Stockholm 1.0.1
It feels so good to return to a place for a second time, it’s closest thing to coming home that I’ve felt for a while. Staying with a friend of mine in an area called Solna, not far by metro from the city centre. Perhaps the best thing about not sleeping in a hostel is that the breakfast menu is entirely up to me.
Heading out into the snow strewn streets in a couple of hours to check...
Helsinki 1.0.1
Took my time with the buffet this morning, the best things in life should never be rushed, unless we’re talking about a workout. Although most people wouldn’t list a workout as one of the better things in life. Except maybe Arnie but he probably takes his time over breakfast too, definitely not a cornflake man I bet. Not entirely sure where I am going with this.
Going to take the...
Oslo 1.0.2
Last day in Oslo, I have spent most of my time here staring at snow. Didn’t end up sorting out a gym here so it is onto Finland and Gym No#17: Itäkeskus Swimming Hall in Helsinki.
The facility is carved completely out of the bedrock and is one of the largest subterranean fitness facilities in the world. It can house over 1000 visitors at a time and because it is quarried out of solid rock...

Oslo 1.0.1
Oslo is fucking cold. Ok I might be an Australian, accustomed to gentler climbs but I have been living in Dublin for 5 months so try to take me at my word. -7 degrees and snowing.
I was not prepared. The first step I took on Norwegian soil/cement almost put me on my arse, snow on the tarmac.
It’s amazing how grateful I am for a strong, free wifi connection and a hot cup of anything.
I...
Brussels 1.0.1
Went for a walk in the rain to buy some muesli and milk and bananas for breakfast, I know it’s knock out stuff isn’t it. What a journey.
Having lunch with a trainer from Gym No#16: Friskis&Svettis today to talk about how the organisation operates as a non-profit and their inclusive exercise philosophy.
They have a jogging group on this evening that I plan on joining, depending on...
Copenhagen 1.0.2
Sitting at a bar drinking drinking a cappuccino (low fat milk hehe) at Copenhagen Airport to get rid of the last of my Danish crowns. Waiting for my flight to Belgium.
Staying for only 2 nights in Brussels, so my training day with Gym No#16:Friskis&Svetis will be tomorrow. More on that to follow…
Loving Crossfit so much that I’ve lined up another gym in Stockholm before I head to...
Copenhagen 1.0.1
Gym No#15: CrossFit Copenhagen
Location: Copenhagen, DENMARK.
If you have always wondered how the Viking sea wolves of old grew so big and strong, well I can’t tell you. If however you are interested in what it’s like to do deadlifts inside a church…
I arrived in Copenhagen at about 11pm last night and after a dark and windy walk through a few streets I found my hostel, found...
Amsterdam 1.0.2
Taking time in an actual coffee shop just inside the red light district, not flying anywhere until 9pm. They have free wifi and power points and the coffee doesn’t taste like crap so in my book that makes this place top notch.
One of the thing I’ll always remember about Amsterdam is the abundance of push bikes. Everywhere you look you’ll see helmetless heads sailing by on lovely...
Gym No#13: CrossFit Praha
Gym No#13: CrossFit Praha
Location: Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC.
There are a few things about Crossfit that impress me.
I mean I’ve seen the youtube videos of guys and gals completing crazy feats of strength and balance. The average person is likely to see this and be in awe, but also think, wow I could never do that. I think we have a tendency to look at athletes and assume they can do what they...

Amsterdam 1.0.1
Just smashed down a muesli, banana, coffee breakfast at my hostel in Amsterdam. Staying right near the Nieuwmarkt metro.
Had some tapas for dinner last night after I arrived at about 9.30pm, another long day in transit.
Lunch at Copenhagen Airport, in a word: expensive. Most stylish airport I’ve seen so far.
My legs are still sore from the lunges I was doing two days ago at crossfit....
Departures (Prague)
I am so tired of carrying around a backpack, well two backpacks.
I wonder if anyone has invented a carry on sized backpack with a special laptop compartment that opens separately, something more substantial than a satchel. I’m so sick of unloading everything so I can pull out my macbook.
Plus I want to design a one piece item of clothing for to make undressing for security check easier,...
